🌱🎨✨ Seed to Roots: A Celebration of Gratitude ✨🎨🌱
As we look back on the 2024 Seed to Roots Youth Arts Performance and Art Show, our hearts are filled with gratitude. This year marked our fourth annual event, and it was nothing short of extraordinary, with 33 performances and 107 talented students taking the stage.
The announcement by Mayor Michael O'Connor, Mayor of Frederick of The City of Frederick Splash Grant was a highlight, promising a dream-come-true Broadway experience for our participants.
Gratitude extends to Mr. Gregory Yancey from Governor Wes Moore's Office for his uplifting speech and for recognizing our students with certificates, embodying the spirit of youth empowerment.
Our heartfelt thanks to the Ausherman Family Foundation, Maryland Humanities, and Maryland State Arts Council, whose support made this celebration of art and talent possible.
Weinberg Center for the Arts, at the intersection of historical significance and future possibilities, endeavors to foster unity and dismantle racial barriers through the arts. We recognize the progress made and continue to advocate for actions that honor and amplify every voice and talent. We are thankful for the collaboration and the doors it has opened for our students, looking forward to navigating the future with hope and resilience.

A special nod to Frederick County Public Libraries for setting up a mini-library honoring Black History and culture, providing an invaluable resource for our community and sparking a love for reading among our young attendees.
